We are a group of college students passionate about getting colleges to have the tools available to have students interact with them in ways other than college visits. with a combination of marketing and computer science majors, we have set out to develop a game that incorporates universities and entertainment.
We are a group of Honors Students working on our Honors Thesis. We were tasked with finding a solution to increasing enrollment numbers through utilizing gaming and gaming approaches in the recruitment process.
We work with colleges in order to have potential students interact with their schools outside of the stereotypical university outreach attempts. We also work with college counselors and recruitment teams to reach out to these students and promote our developments.
University Devils is an online multiplayer game where prospective students are placed in a virtual university with one player being randomly selected as “the Professor.” Once in the game, the students must complete objectives assigned by the Professor. The Professor then applies various obstacles to the students, with the first student or students to finish winning the match. Other game modes will also be provided in order to spice up the experience, with one being a sort-of “cops and robbers” game mode where the students are split into teams.
